Kimberly Erlich, Nurse Practitioner
Expert in Pediatrics, Advocate for Children

Kimberly Erlich is a Yale-trained Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, double board-certified in primary care pediatrics (CPNP-PC) and pediatric and adolescent mental health (PMHS). With a certification in integrative mental health (CIMHP), she combines integrative, evidence-informed methods with medication when appropriate to treat psychiatric and behavioral disorders and promote optimal mental health.

Kimberly's Experience

Educational Background​ 

Kimberly holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Yale University School of Nursing, specializing in pediatric primary care. She has pursued additional training and professional certification in both Integrative Psychiatry and Nutritional Psychiatry to better support her patients. She also has a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy of Science with a Minor in Healthcare and Social Issues from the University of California-San Diego.

 

Professional Activities:

​

  • Contributing to body of research supporting professional education through publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Contributed to health outcomes research in primary care-behavioral health integration

  • Serving as a Consulting Associate Faculty member at Duke University School of Nursing, where she teaches nurse practitioner students pursuing the pediatric behavioral health sub-specialty course of study.

  • Active involvement in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), currently serving on the Education Strategy Committee; previous roles include Executive Board Member (member-at-large), conference planning committee member, and chair/co-chair of the Developmental-Behavioral Mental Health Special Interest Group at NAPNAP.

  • Speaking engagements at local and national levels on topics such as primary care-behavioral health integration, anxiety, eating disorders, and more.

  • Advocate: For your child’s educational needs, including consultation for therapeutic placement, IEPs, and Section 504 Plans.
